I'm Dr. Kristen Stehling, a board-certified Family Medicine physician on a mission to provide you with the best primary care experience possible. I entered Direct Primary Care to remove all the barriers of traditional medicine so you can achieve your best health. I partner directly with you to ensure we have time to address your needs and concerns, discuss treatment options, and develop treatment plans together. As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), I look at patients from a whole-person perspective, taking time to get to know you and your family. I empower my patients to live a fuller and healthier life through open discussions, support, and education.
As a valued member of our practice, you have direct access to me via calls, texts, or video chats for any urgent concerns or questions. I'm here to give you peace of mind and help you avoid expensive ER and urgent care visits. Appointments often last 30-60 minutes to give you ample time to express your concerns and understand your health conditions. My patients are my number one priority; I want your health to be a team effort where we work together toward your goals. I have extensive experience treating complex and critically ill patients whose hospitalization was rooted in preventable illness or uncontrolled chronic conditions. At Empower Wellness DPC, we're proud to offer Ukiah residents a new primary care experience through our direct pay model. As a member, you gain access to inclusive, high-quality care where you can schedule appointments when and where you need them, in the office or via telehealth. Everyone deserves timely access to excellent medical care instead of waiting weeks or months for an appointment, which is common with traditional primary care practices. We offer same or next-day appointments, little to no wait times, and direct access to Dr. Stehling. Patients often feel rushed through visits with other insurance-based practices and may leave with unanswered questions. As your primary care physician, Dr. Stehling takes as much time as needed to address all your issues so you feel seen and heard with every visit. Our subscription-based service offers unlimited visits with your physician and standard primary care services for a flat monthly fee.
We provide care to patients 12 years and older, regardless of insurance coverage. Standard services such as annual labs and exams are included in your membership. We believe in transparency, so if you need additional treatments and testing, we'll discuss your options and ensure you know the cost upfront. If you have a chronic disease, Dr. Stehling can help you manage and prevent symptoms to improve your quality of life and avoid expensive hospitalizations.
